ICG CARIBE EWS Officers

Mid Term Meeting of ICG CARIBE EWS Officers

13 - 14 November 2017, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

The objective of this meeting is to advance the strategic role of the ICG CARIBE EWS in creating coastal communities resilient to tsunamis and other coastal hazards. In light of the 2017 devastating and disruptive hurricane season in the Caribbean and Adjacent regions it is an opportune time to identify strategic activities that can be conducted within the CARIBE EWS framework to reduce the number of affected people, the economic losses, damage to infrastructure and disruption of services from coastal hazards, including tsunamis.
