Global Microscience and IYC experiments go to Haiti

Global Microscience and Water experiments conducted by primary and secondary school students in Haiti, October 2011

The Global Microscience Experiment Project is a hands-on science education project that gives primary and secondary school students (in some countries university students as well) the opportunity to conduct practical work in physics, chemistry and biology, using kits that come with booklets describing possible scientific experiments.

The Global Chemistry Experiment (Water: A Chemical Solution), a cornerstone event of the International Year of Chemistry 2011, is now one of the largest chemistry educational experiments done. As of October 2011, there were over 16 500 students registered from around 45 countries in the world. These were the first results of the Experiment in Haiti where it was conducted in 2 schools.
