Flagship programmes

The Programme of Action for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence aims at ensuring global engagement, ownership and greater impact, through interdisciplinary and intersectoral approach. Several projects were launched in 2013 through the former Intersectoral Platform for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence, supported mainly through the mobilization of extrabudgetary funds, such as with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of the Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah International Programme for a Culture of Peace and Dialogue, but also Denmark to build human rights based intercultural competences or Azerbaijan to enhance good practices for intercultural dialogue.
