Orange the World, Leave No One Behind
UN Women are marking the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (25 November–10 December) under the theme of “Leave No One Behind: End Violence against Women and Girls”. As in previous years, iconic buildings and monuments across the world will be ‘oranged’ to call for a violence-free future.
In India, UNESCO will join UN Women’s month-long campaign starting 25 November 2017 on the Delhi Metro. Five messages – in Hindi and English – will be showcased on three metro lines: Yellow (Samaypur Badli to HUDA City Centre), Blue (Dwarka to Noida City Centre) and Violet (Kashmere Gate to Escorts Mujesar).
These three lines receive a combined footfall of 4.5 million passengers per day and connect all parts of Delhi, as well as Gurgaon, Noida and Faridabad.
