Training on Transboundary Water Resource Management for Water Professionals from Afghanistan and Iran

The training will provide advanced learning on “Working Towards Effective Transboundary Water Resource Management” for professionals involved in water issues in Afghanistan and Iran.

The training aims to build personal and institutional bridges and to discuss scientific and practical options for sustainable water development. The programme draws on cases of water resources development from different regions and discusses administrative frameworks and techniques to enhance the role of water in regional development.

The potential effects of future climate change conditions on water resources and development will be presented and discussed. The contents of this training is designed in a way to provide up-to-date knowledge about the basics and concepts of transboundary water cooperation and management.
