Сейчас Денис Мацуев известен по обе стороны Атлантики. А всё началось в 1998 году, когда 23-летний пианист выиграл XI Международный конкурс им. Чайковского в Москве.
Сегодня выступления заслуженного артиста России Дениса Мацуева расписаны на несколько лет вперёд, всемирно известные оркестры и дирижёры почитают за честь выступать с ним. География сольных концертов пианиста необычайно широка, с завидным постоянством он выступает на сценах самых престижных концертных залов мира: "Carnegie Hall" и "Lincoln Center" в Нью-Йорке, "Kennedy Center" в Вашингтоне, "Salle Gaveau" и "Theatre des Champs Elysees" в Париже, "Mozarteum" в Зальцбурге и многих других.
