Haiti’s first music industry mapping now available

Thanks to IFCD funding, Ayiti Mizik, a Haitian association of music professionals, released Haiti’s first mapping of its music industry. The project, which benefited from US $ 85,080 in funding since 2016, aimed to promote Haiti’s music industry.

The first of its kind, the project highlighted the importance of having quantitative data and detailed information on the music industry.

More than 1,500 professionals across 35 different professions from around the country participated in this study.

The recommendations drawn from this survey will serve as a basis for the development of public policies that take into account the status of professionals in the sector, the creation and promotion of goods and services, and copyrights.
