On the occasion of the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage, the Moroccan audiovisual authority (Haute Autorité de la Communication Audiovisuelle - HACA) is organizing a regional seminar about the preservation of audiovisual archives.

The seminar is aiming to focus attention on the challenges in the preservation of audiovisual (AV) heritage in the Northern and West Africa. It is organized in collaboration with the UNESCO Office for Maghreb, and with the participation of representatives from archives institution in the region, as well as the network of French speaking media regulators Réseau Francophone des Régulateurs des médias (REFRAM). The seminar will be organized as per three topics related to AV safeguarding : “State of the art and main challenges,” “Public policies and experiences,” and “Systems, expertise and training.”
