Accession by Afghanistan to the Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict (The Hague, 14 May 1954)

On 26 October 2017, Afghanistan deposited with the Director-General its instrument of accession to the Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict (The Hague, 14 May 1954).

In accordance with the terms of Article 33 (3) of the Convention, the date of entry into force of this Convention with respect to Afghanistan is 26 January 2018.
