Seventh ordinary session of the Intergovernmental Committee

(Paris, 10 - 13 December 2013)

During its seventh ordinary session, the Committee had several items on its Agenda, including the examination of the report on the implementation of the fundraising strategy and the action plan on the implementation of the Internal Oversight Service’s (IOS) recommendations regarding the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD). The Committee also examined new quadrennial periodic reports of Parties to the Convention received in 2013, the report on the impact of Article 21 of the Convention, and focused its debates on the results of the strategy of ratification of the Convention achieved between 2010 and 2013. Finally, the Committee undertook a preliminary debate on digital technologies and their impact on the Convention as well as on the role of Public Service Broadcasting in achieving the objectives of the Convention.
