Exhibition on Connected Objects “Are You Talking to Me?” is Back to Saint-Étienne

Exhibition on Connected Objects “Are You Talking to Me?” is Back to Saint-Étienne

When:
Thu, 09/14/2017 to Sun, 01/07/2018

For a week now, until 7 January 2018, Saint-Étienne’s exhibition “Are You Talking to Me? – Uses and practices of connected objects” runs in the Cité du design of the Creative City. First set-up at the occasion of the XIth UCCN Annual Meeting in Enghien-les Bains, France, held from 30 June to 2 July 2017, the exhibition shows the artworks of 11 Cities of Design, with the objective to promote the creative potential of the Network’s artists.

Coproduced by the Cité du design of Saint-Étienne and the Centre des Arts of Enghien-les-Bains, this exhibition is the result of a call launched to the UNESCO Creative Cities of Design on the topic of connected objects. As a symbol of the digital era and its impact on daily life, connected objects are reaching a growing industrial outreach, from pet robot to physiotherapy, they are made to be at the service of mankind. They promise a sea change in lifestyles, supporting habits while sometimes confusing true needs.
