Dénia, a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, together with the Valencian Board for Tourism, will hold from 29 September to 1 October, the 1st edition of the D*na Gastronomic Festival born from a passion for Mediterranean food and local products.
For a week now, until 7 January 2018, Saint-Étienne’s exhibition “Are You Talking to Me? – Uses and practices of connected objects” runs in the Cité du design of the Creative City. First set-up at the occasion of the XIth UCCN Annual Meeting in Enghien-les Bains, France, held from 30 June to 2 July 2017, the exhibition shows the artworks of 11 Cities of Design, with the objective to promote the creative potential of the Network’s artists.
From 10 to 16 October, the City of Torino is organizing, as a Creative City of Design, a series of events and activities in line with Turin World Design Organization 30th General Assembly.

The city of Ulyanovsk, along with the Government of the Ulyanovsk region, the Ministry of Arts and Cultural Policy and the Foundation "Ulyanovsk – Capital of Culture”, is organizing the VII International Cultural Forum (ICF) on “Culture and Business: Creative Capital of a Modern City” on 14 and 15 September 2017.

Since last 6 August until 1 October 2017, the second edition of Sapporo International Art Festival (SIAF) is held in the Creative City of Media Arts. Nottingham, a UNESCO Creative City of Literature, has confirmed that it is looking to bid for European Capital of Culture 2023, at a launch event held on 16 August 2017.
Nottingham’s European Capital of Culture 2023 bid team is confident the city’s entry will be heavily supported by people across the Midlands and beyond, and is calling on locals to become Nottingham 2023 ‘Cultural Lions’.
Broadcaster and campaigner Esther Rantzen will launch this year’s Golden Years Film Festival in Bradford, a UNESCO Creative City of Film. The six-day festival hosted by Bradford in partnership with Picturehouse at the National Science and Media Museum will run from Saturday 30 September.
Kaunas, UNESCO Creative City of Design, offers a unique opportunity to artists, creative agencies, and professionals in the field of graphic design or communication, to participate in an international contest to create a logo and visual identity for Kaunas European Capital of Culture project. An international jury, responsible for evaluating the received proposals, would decide the winning project. The selected logo will be used for all communication materials related to the project until 2023.
