يعد الأردن بلداً ذو تراث ثقافي غني إستثنائياً: ويتمثل هدف اليونسكو في تسخير قوة الثقافة لتوحيد الناس من خلال العمل على تمكينهم.
يشجع مكتب اليونسكو في عمان التراث ويدعمه، وذلك من خلال التنسيق مع السلطات الوطنية والجهات المعنية الأخرى في البلاد. فمن المعروف أن الثقافة هي مصدر هام للصمود ودافع رئيسي للتغيير الاقتصادي والاجتماعي.
في ضوء ما سبق، وبهدف التركيز على مدى أهمية التراث الأردني، يشارك مكتب اليونسكو في عمان في مبادرة #متحدون_مع_التراث لـ:
# إيصال وجهات نظر الشباب ومشاعرهم المتعلقة بأهمية التراث والثقافة في هذا العالم الذي يتغير بسرعة كبيرة.
# تشجيع التراث المحلي كوسيلة لتعزيز التنوع والتسامح.
Jordan is a country with an extraordinary rich cultural heritage: UNESCO’s objective is to harness the power of culture to unite people by empowering them.
UNESCO Amman Office encourages and supports the promotion of heritage, in coordination with national authorities and other stakeholders in the country. Culture is recognized as a critical source of resilience and a key trigger for economic and social change.
In view of the above, and aiming at focusing on the importance of Jordanian heritage, UNESCO Amman Office is engaging in the #Unite4Heritage initiative to:
# Voice youth views and feelings on the importance of heritage and culture in a fast-changing world;
# Promote local heritage as a means to foster diversity and tolerance.
