Africa Week

The africa week has been initiated as part if the celebration of World Africa Day (May 25th). This day celebrates the commemoration of the creation of the African Union Organization on May 25th 1963 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia under the patronage of Negus Haïlé Sélassié.

For a week, the Africa group of UNESCO, through various activités and festivities highlight the richness of the heritage and cultural diversity of Africa. Exhibitions, conferences, film screenings, gastronomy and many other activities await for you at UNESCO headquarters Paris for the Africa week. .
