Executive Summary in Portuguese of report on ocean science is launched by UNESCO in Brazil
On 05 June is celebrated the World Environment Day and on 08 June is commemorated Word Ocean Day. Due to this two celebrations related to the Environment, the week that comprises the two dates is popularly known as Environment Week. In Brazil, it was officially declared through a presidential decree as the Environment National Week.
The main action of UNESCO in Brazil to celebrate the Environment Week, this year from 03 to 09 June, is the launching of the Portuguese version of the Executive Summary of the Global Ocean Science Report, that takes place at an event of the Ocean Institute of Universidade de São Paulo (USP).
The Organization also cooperates with an event to clean up the Ipanema beach and a Roundtable on Sustainable Attitudes, organized by Instituto-E and presents the World Water Development Report 2018: Nature-based Solutions, in events of the Ministry of Environment and of the Industry Federation of Rio de Janeiro (Firjan, in Portuguese acronym). During the whole week, UNESCO in Brazil will also post on your social media accounts contents related to the theme.
