ICTP has negotiated special pricing with some hotels in Trieste. ICTP visitors booked through the Housing office may avail of the price discounts that range from 5% to 20% of the official room rates.
Most of the hotels are located downtown, about 7 km from the ICTP campus.
The following are some hotels near the ICTP campus:
- Ostello Tergeste, youth hostel located in Miramare, close to the ICTP campus (approx. 1 km)
- Hotel Mignon (2-star) located just in front of the Adriatico guesthouse
- Hotel Riviera (3-star) located on the coastal road not far from the Adriatico guesthouse (approx. 1 km). Hotel guests have free access to Grignano 2, the hotel's private sea-front spot.
- Hotel Miramare (4-star) located in Miramare, close to the ICTP campus (approx. 1 km). All the rooms sea facing.
- Hotel Tritone (2-star) located in Barcola, halfway between Grignano (ICTP) and downtown Trieste.
- Hotel Greif Maria Theresia (5-star) located in Barcola, halfway between Grignano (ICTP) and downtown Trieste. Hotel guests have free access to the indoor swimming pool and the fitness club. Tennis courts can be used on separate payment.
