WORKSHOPS AND SCHOOLS

Physics Without Frontiers organises workshops and schools in physics and mathematics for undergraduate and master students to provide intense training lasting several days in areas of research that is presently lacking.

The workshops or schools are organised by groups of scientists who are experts in the field, with it being encourages that at least one is from the host country working abroad.

The programs are pedagogical, incolving interactive lectures, hands-on sessions, and problem classes, and student presentations or poster sessions are encouraged.

Public dats are often incorporated, to engage the public with physics and mathematics and showcase the student's work.

The aim of the program is to

  • Educate and train university students on specific topics of physics or mathematics
  • Specifically provide hands on training through analysis or problem solving sessions
  • Expose students to scientists who are leaders in their field
  • Connect scientists to universities to facilitate collaboration
  • Educate students about careers and opportunities in field of research
  • Provide continued mentoring for students

Physics Without Frontiers invites teams of scientists wishing to organise a school and seek full or partial funding up to a maximum of Euro 3000 to apply here.
