The 2015 calendar provides advocacy, advice and information for government officials and policy-makers, local governance and community leaders, school leaders, teachers, students, parents and guardians on how to promote violence-free school programmes.

UNESCO and partners launch infographic drawing attention to barriers to HIV testing among young people in Asia and the Pacific

The sooner that a young person is tested for HIV, the sooner they can access life-saving treatments, and testing is also a key entry point to prevention. In many countries in the Asia-Pacific region, a young person under 18 to consent to an HIV test unless they have consent from a parent or guardian. But for many young people involving their parents in the decision to have an HIV test could be disastrous.

Technical consultation on healthy lifestyle education in Eastern Europe and Central Asia

On 16-18 February, 2015 UNESCO Moscow Office in collaboration with UNFPA Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, WHO Regional Office for Europe, the German Federal Center for Health Education (BZgA) and International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) European Network organized a technical consultation for 18 European and Central Asian countries to review the progress made in providing adolescents and youth with access to health education, including comprehensive education on sexual and reproductive health, and identify opportunities to improve the quality and effectiveness of such education at national scale.
