    This review of comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) in Thai educational institutions collected data from students, teachers, guardians, school directors and national policy advocacy stakeholders.

  2. A Brief on school bullying on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity: LGBT-friendly Thailand?

    The analysis presented here is from a study commissioned by UNESCO Bangkok and Plan International Thailand, and conducted by Mahidol University. There has been research on school bullying in Thailand, but only anecdotal evidence on bullying specifically targetting students who are, or are perceived to be, LGBT, or mechanisms to counter it in Thai schools. This study aimed to fill this gap in evidence, and to identify policy and programme implications. It is the first systematic study on the issue in Thailand.

    This report presents the findings of research proposed and implemented by a team of Shan and Karen researchers regarding girls and women who have migrated from Burma into domestic work in Thailand. The study focuses on two sites in Thailand - Chiang Mai and Mae Sot - and highlights the extreme conditions and often abusive environments in which domestic workers from Burma have been employed.     The report presents the findings of the research on intimate partner violence (IPV) in Thailand, carried out by the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University with technical and financial support from WHO. The objectives of the research were to find out prevalence and frequency of different forms of violence against women performed by a husband or intimate male partner or ex-partner; its effect on women's lives and health; and risk factors for domestic violence.
