The assessment was commissioned by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to assess Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) within the Life Orientation (LO) curriculum in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). The assessment aimed to identify common practices and trends in the roll out and implementation of CSE nationally and internationally.
The study assessed the capacity of the Universal Basic Education Programme in Nigeria to effectively implement the Family Life HIV Education Curriculum. Using descriptive statistics, the study has analysed and presented graphs and tables of various national and regional public primary school data from 2004 to 2008 to showcase trends of available capacity in the UBE programme.
