The Global Initiative on Primary Prevention of Substance Abuse (Global Initiative) is jointly executed by the United Nations International Drug Control Programme (UNDCP) and the World Health Organization (WHO). This report presents the results of a study on School Related Gender Based Violence (SRGBV) undertaken by the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) in partnership with the Plan International. The study gathers empirical evidence on the magnitude and nature of SRGBV and help-seeking behavior of girls and boys aged 12-17 years in five countries – Cambodia, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan and Vietnam. In addition, it also explores the perceptions and attitudes of key adults, teachers and parents, towards SRGBV.
