    The Call for Action by Ministers, the first of its kind on homophobic and transphobic violence in education, was issued on the final day of the 17-18 May 2016 UNESCO event. The purpose of the meeting, was to raise political momentum for a meaningful agreement to tackle this violence in educational settings.     This is a model Law on HIV in Southern Africa, made by members of SADC Parliamentary Forum. It is a guide to legislative efforts on HIV-related issues in Southern Africa. It aims to provide a legal framework for the review and reform of national legislation related to HIV in conformity with international human rights law standards; and to promote the implementation of effective prevention, treatment, care and research strategies and programmes on HIV and AIDS.
