This report presents the findings of an evidence gap map that assesses the evidence available on the effects of adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) programming in low- and middle-income countries. It documents the methods used to create the map and examines evidence clusters and gaps identified in it. While there is considerable amount of impact evaluation evidence, it addresses only some of the priority questions within this broad topic. This qualitative study was conducted in four Gauteng public primary schools to assess the utilisation of psychological support services. Individual and focus group interviews were conducted with various stakeholders. This declaration is the conclusion of the special session on the response of the education sector to HIV & AIDS. It was written at the meeting of Ministers of Education of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States, participating in a meeting in Roseau (Dominica), the 27th January 2007. The objectif is to establish harmonised comprehensive policies and to ensure access for all HIV infected and affected children to educational opportunities and healthcare.
