WWDR 2017 in Arabic language coming soon

© UNESCO

Thanks to the generous contribution of the Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud Foundation - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the 2017 edition of the World Water Development Report (WWDR) is being translated into Arabic. The Report will be made available in July 2018.

The translation of the report in Arabic will facilitate various stakeholders in Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf Region to have easy access to this reference UN publication on freshwater resources. Given the acute water scarcity and the tremendous challenges related to water management in the Arab region, the recommendations from the WWDR series would be a useful tool for policy and decision-makers.

The valuable support of the Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud Foundation will compound WWAP’s ongoing efforts in production of knowledge in Arabic and its dissemination in relevant Fora.

In collaboration with UNESCO Cairo Office, a training session to augment the impact and the practical implementation aspect of the translated WWDR is being considered.
