The Working Group, composed of experts designated by twenty-seven States Parties to the International Convention against Doping in Sport, will meet at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 25 June 2018. The Group will address the draft Operational Guidelines of the Convention and the framework of consequences for non-compliance and ensure progress of its development.

The Sixth Conference of Parties to the Anti-Doping Convention (COP6, 25-26 September 2017) requested that tools be developed in order to strengthen the capacity of States Parties, as well as their ownership of the Convention.

At its first meeting, the Group adopted its working methods and elected a Chairperson, a Rapporteur, a Vice-Rapporteur and six Vice-Chairpersons.

A dedicated online platform has been established. The members of the Working Group have been invited to regularly provide feedback on the different chapters of the draft document.

The collective consultation will continue until the end of 2018. Once consolidated by the Working Group and endorsed by the Bureau of the Conference of Parties, the draft document will be circulated to all States Parties in 2019.
