UNESCO and Juventus Football Club launch online anti-discrimination campaign
On the occasion of the International Day against Racial Discrimination (21 March), Juventus and UNESCO announce an online campaign to highlight the potential of football to promote more inclusive societies, change social attitudes and fight against discrimination in all its forms. The campaign aims to mobilise players, supporters, youth, and the general public to share their stories and testimonies around the unifying power of football via social media platforms.
Follow us on Twitter and stay tuned for the launch of the campaign on the occasion of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (6 April).

Background
The UNESCO and Juventus partnership in favour of inclusion and against all forms of discrimination was established in 2014.
Activities have included:
- the social reintegration of former child soldiers in Central Africa Republic and Mali;
- the publication of a ground-breaking report on measures to fight racism and discrimination in international football entitled Colour? What Colour?;
- providing opportunities to children living in difficult conditions to join the international Juventus Academy through the Gioca con me pilot project, and at the same time as providing guidelines on how to offer a complete educational approach placing great emphasis on fostering cognitive and social abilities through the Juventus Academy Soft Skills Manual, specifically developed by UNESCO.
UNESCO is the lead agency within the United Nations System for the fight against discrimination and racism in sport, as well as anti-doping in sport and the promotion of fairplay.
