New York Liaison Office News Archive

Representing UNESCO in the United Nations, the Office carries out a variety of activities, in order to advocate for UNESCO’s mandate and strategic programme priorities, and to present the Organization’s positions to relevant intergovernmental and interagency bodies.

The Office also acts as a clearing house for information of relevance to UNESCO and develops partnerships with UN entities, donors, the private sector and the civil society.

In so doing, the Office works closely with the United Nations Office, programmes, specialized agencies and related entities as well as the representatives of Member States.
