UNESCO's Priorities

The mission of the New York office is to promote UNESCO’s values and activities in the areas of education, culture, sciences, communication and information in the United Nations context.

At a time when the world is looking for new ways to build peace and sustainable development, including through the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals, UNESCO is promoting the soft power of  education, culture, sciences, communication and information as drivers and enablers of a more just and prosperous future for all.

UNESCO New York Office is pursuing this objective through institutional representation, advocacy and outreach and developing partnerships.
