The UNESCO “Networks of Mediterranean Youth” Project (NET-MED Youth) is a four-year (2014-1018) regional project implemented by UNESCO in partnership with youth organizations, institutions and partners. Funded by the European Union, the project is benefiting 10 countries along the eastern and western basins of the Mediterranean Sea. These countries share similar challenges and by working with youth organizations, the project strives to encourage young women and men to become full participants in building their communities and becoming agents of positive change.

In Jordan, the NET-MED Youth project works towards contributing to the effective participation of youth in developing and implementing national strategies and policies affecting youth through their access to relevant information and resources. In achieving that goal, it strives to reduce the fragmentation of efforts and harness the collective potential of youth in affecting democratic transition towards active citizenship, political participation, economic development, and social inclusion.
