Promoting Uzbek cinema in Poland

UNESCO and the Embassy of Poland in the Republic of Uzbekistan in close cooperation with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, Stud Tours to Poland, and «Leaders of Change» Foundation, will organize an official visit to Poland for policy-makers and specialists in the field of the film industry in Uzbekistan from 1 to 8 July

The aim of this activity is to support the development of the film industry in Uzbekistan through study of the Polish film experience, establishment of cooperation between the Uzbek and Polish institutions and organizations in the field of film industry and promotion of the Uzbek film in Poland and Europe.

Within the mission, it is planned to attend the series of meetings with the Polish officials and specialists and visit the governmental and non-governmental institutions/organizations in the field of film industry, including educational institutions, film studios and film archive.

This activity is part of project “Strengthening the Sustainability of the Film Industry in Uzbekistan" launched in 2017 with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea through the Korean Funds in Trust (KFIT). This project aims at strengthening the development and promoting of the film industry in Uzbekistan, thus contributing to the protection and promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions. The project also aims to stimulate international cooperation and establish business contacts in the field of the film industry in Uzbekistan.
