A launching event will be organized at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 24 April 2018, in the presence of UNESCO's Director-General, Audrey Azoulay, and the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), Vladimir Voronkov.

The objective of the launch event is to (1) demonstrate the urgency of preventing violent extremism, (2) reaffirm the importance of our partners in the realization of this project and (3) establish a dialogue between policy makers and youth.

In a visually dynamic setting and an interactive environment (statistical projection, interactive maps, etc.), the event will take the form of an exchange between Audrey Azoulay, Vladimir Voronkov and six young people directly affected by violent extremism. Touching testimonies counterbalanced by messages of hope will conclude the event with solutions.
