Monsoon School on Urban Floods is a one-week workshop to advance usage of New and Smart Technologies to better manage floods in Asian Cities. IT is jointly by the Knowledge Societies Division, UNESCO and Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.
The initiative is one of the outreach activities in the research project entitled, “Integrated Urban Flood Management in India: Technology Driven Solutions”, sponsored by ITRA (Information Technology Research Academy), Ministry of Information and Technology, Government of India. The School is targeted for the practicing engineers and young researchers working with government or private bodies and educational institutes.
