The objective of the meeting is to present, in preparation for the 205th session of the Executive Board, the proposed way forward for the comprehensive review of the MoW Programme. During the meeting, the key outcomes of the initial review of the MoW Programme by the International Advisory Committee (IAC), contained in the revised General Guidelines, the revised MoW code of ethics and the recommended revisions to the Statutes of the IAC will be presented.
The documents which will be presented and discussed constitute the basis for the comprehensive review, to be carried out in consultation with Member States. To reflect the discussions at the 204th session of the Executive Board on item 8 concerning this comprehensive review, UNESCO sees this meeting as a concrete way of promoting dialogue with Member States on the future modalities of operation of the MoW Programme.
