Born in 1954 in La Romana, Dominican Republic.
Professional career: He started his contacts with music in the seventies as part of several groups and orchestras. In 1984 he won the first place in the Song Festival in his country. He is a successful composer and has produced numerous records. Many of his compositions have been interpreted by Dominican and Latin American singers and groups.
Professional experience: Ambassador José Antonio Rodríguez served as Minister of Culture of the Dominican Republic from August 2012 to August 2016. He was named Dominican Ambassador and Permanent Delegate to UNESCO by Presidential Decree no. 246-16, dated 14 September 2016.
