Ways To Get Involved
1/ Promote
Social Media
Support the movement by sharing our articles, videos and website on social media. If you are part of a society or organisation use your network for better visibility.
2/ Open Minds
Cultural Events
Rediscover your heritage and that of other people by joining cultural events taking place near you. Great places to start are your local museums, galleries and universities. Look at your calendar and mobilise especially young people around you to create a dynamic and generate discussion (many museums propose highly affordable activities for young people).
3/ Witness
HeritageStory
Share your HeritageStory with us. Film yourself or someone else discussing an aspect about your heritage. Share it on social media with the hashtag #HeritageStory. Please see here to see examples of Heritage Stories. We will relay the best videos on social media.
Use your network by relaying information about culture and heritage in the form of photos to gain as much visibility for heritage as possible.
Culture Heroes
Share with us a portrait of an outstanding person who has been or is contributing to raising awareness for heritage and its preservation and valorisation. The best portraits will be relayed on our website, and social media, with the possibility of more to follow in 2017.
Become an Observer of Culture
Tell us about any initiatives or projects near you that are doing exemplary or innovative work surrounding heritage. You can be a witness to this work.
4/ Act

It is an incredible opportunity for you to immerse yourself in learning about the day-to-day life in a World Heritage property, to acquire basic preservation and conservation skills, and to engage in intercultural exchanges with the local community.
