Aiming to bring attention to the need for Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) and to empower and encourage young leaders to influence their national policies, CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality and YouAct initiated the “Europe for CSE” project, with support from ShareNet. Youth advocates from Cyprus, Georgia, Poland, Romania and the Netherlands joined forces, worked online and met in Amsterdam to set-up concrete advocacy plans at national level, including meetings with volunteers, round tables, online campaigns and reaching out to policy makers and influencers.

In 2013, IGLYO commissioned research that examined the experiences of homophobic and transphobic bullying within the educational context and its impact on employment and future career. An online survey targeted respondents in Croatia, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, and Poland. The final results were drawn out of 187 survey responses, as well as a substantial number of complementary research reports.
In February 2013, the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Youth and Student Organisation (IGLYO) commissioned Eleanor Formby from Sheffield Hallam University (in the UK) to carry out research on the impact of homophobic and transphobic bullying on education and employment in Europe. This publication, the Polish Policy on HIV/AIDS Prevention in 1985-2005 is the fruit of efforts of all groups which have been directly involved in the HIV/AIDS actions since the beginning of the epidemics. The authors are researchers, people working on social issues as well as representatives of non governmental organizations. The Policy gathers those, who day after day put their efforts in common to counteract HIV/ AIDS, which is not only a medical issue, but also a social, economical and for some countries a political challenge. …
In February 2004, representatives of European and central Asian countries met in Dublin and issued a declaration focused on accelerating the implementation of the Declaration of Commitment that countries made at the UN General Assembly Special Session (UNGASS) on HIV/AIDS in 2001. In May 2006, ASTRA-Youth concluded a research done in 11 countries from Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans. In average, 50 young people (between 16 and 30 years old) were interviewed in each country. The research focussed on the knowledge and attitudes of Youth towards Sexual and Reproductive Health issues in their countries. In addition, a cross cultural analysis of the data provided a clear picture of the commonalities and differences in attitudes and needs, giving the opportunity to share best practices and materials amongst participating countries. …
