Volontariat pour le patrimoine mondial 2017
La campagne de Volontariat pour le patrimoine mondial 2017: Le patrimoine entre nos mains dressera un bilan des progrès réalisés ces dix dernières années dans la mobilisation des jeunes pour la préservation et la promotion du patrimoine mondial auprès de leurs pairs et des communautés locales.
Au cours de ces dix années d’existence, l’Initiative de Volontariat pour le patrimoine mondial a connu une croissance considérable grâce à une reconnaissance et à un intérêt de plus en plus grand pour la protection et la préservation des sites du patrimoine mondial. Durant l’année de son dixième anniversaire, 51 chantiers d’action seront organisés entre mai et novembre 2017, dans 50 sites inscrits sur la Liste du patrimoine mondial ou sur une liste indicative, par 46 organisations dans 32 pays.
Des temples de Vajrayogini de la Vallée de Kathmandu au Népal, aux monastères du XVIe siècle sur les versants du Popocatepetl au Mexique, en passant par les jardins et parcs composants le site de Weimar Classique en Allemagne et les sommets vertigineux du parc national des Monts Rwenzori en Ouganda, les volontaires locaux et internationaux de la campagne de Volontariat pour le patrimoine mondial 2017 participeront à des projets sur certains des endroits les plus exceptionnels du monde. Ainsi, le Volontariat pour le patrimoine mondial 2017 offre aux volontaires une grande opportunité de s’investir au quotidien dans la protection des sites du patrimoine mondial, d'acquérir des compétences et des techniques de base de préservation et de conservation ainsi que de s’engager dans des échanges interculturels avec les communautés locales tout en participant à la promotion du patrimoine mondial.

L’initiative de Volontariat pour le patrimoine mondial est menée par le Centre du patrimoine mondial (WHC) en collaboration avec le Comité de Coordination du Service Volontaire International (CCSVI), European Heritage Volunteers (en tant que branche de l’organisation Open Houses) et Better World.
