Constitutional line of cultural activity of the Plurinational State of Bolivia
Bolivia, within the framework of its constitution, sustains the work in the field of culture, emphasizing the cultural diversity essential base of the community plurinational state. Thus, interculturality constitutes the tool for cohesion harmonious and balanced coexistence between all peoples and nations, having a place with respect to differences and equal conditions.
The Plurinational State of Bolivia assumes as a strength the existence of native indigenous cultures, repositories of knowledge, knowledge, values, spirituality and worldviews, considering as their fundamental responsibility, to preserve, develop, register, protect and disseminate all existing cultures in the Country, because all this is constituted in the cultural heritage of the Bolivian people.
The work of the Cultural Industries Unit and cultural policy design activities on the protection and promotion of cultural heritage has been re-examined. Likewise, the design of strategies for the registration and census of cultural activity in Bolivia has been prioritized. On the other hand, there is a high tendency to incorporate the conceptual elements and categories related to decolonization and depatrialization, in the design and presentation of cultural policies and the products of the Cultural Industries Unit.
