  6. Sexual and reproductive health and rights, and HIV 101 workshop guide: a guide to facilitating a workshop on linking up HIV and sexual and reproductive health and rights with young key populations

    This facilitator’s guide describes how to plan, deliver and evaluate the workshop effectively. The workshop is designed to take five consecutive days in one week, although it can be adapted for shorter trainings as needed. Each day covers a different area of SRHR and HIV integration, with the order and flow of sessions designed to relate back to each other. The workshop culminates with a site visit and group discussion. Sessions include suggestions, tips and reminders for facilitators, and list materials needed.     This report presents findings from two cross-sectional surveys conducted in 2013–2014 among young (18 to 28 years) men who have sex with men (YMSM) in Yangon and Monywa, Myanmar. The primary objective of these surveys was to measure risk and protective factors and HIV related risk behaviours within this population.

    The rise and dominance of social networking sites has generated increasing interest amongst scholars, mainly to understand their nature and the activities supported by these social sites. Studies conducted on social networking sites have generated information on the potential of such sites in boosting revenue-generating businesses, with limited research on how online sites can be used to address the social challenges faced by societies today.   14. Rising school enrollment and declining HIV and pregnancy risk among adolescents in Rakai district, Uganda, 1994–2013

    Background: Poverty, family stability, and social policies influence the ability of adolescents to attend school. Likewise, being enrolled in school may shape an adolescent’s risk for HIV and pregnancy. We identified trends in school enrollment, factors predicting school enrollment (antecedents), and health risks associated with staying in or leaving school (consequences).
