    O manual é constituído por 3 unidades: Sexualidade, Prevenção às DST/Aids e Prevenção ao Uso Indevido de Drogas. Em cada unidade, são apresentadas dinâmicas de trabalho de grupo, que utilizam como metodologia a educação por meio de trocas de experiências, vivências, conhecimentos e atitudes. Procura-se identificar o saber que cada adolescente traz para, a partir disso, introduzir ou aumentar a percepção de risco e orientar a adoção de práticas seguras.

  3. Evaluation of preventive actions against STDs/AIDS and drug abuse in elementary and high schools in Brazilian capitals

    This document presents an evaluation of the process, results and impact of the initiative to promote health and prevent sexually transmitted diseases among adolescents and youth in the school environment (in Brazilian schools), on the basis of research carried out in 340 schools in 14 state capitals. Students, teachers, principals and parents were included in the survey. Its contents include: 1) The national policy and the Brazilian STDs/AIDS preventive program; 2) Process evaluation; 3) Evaluation of the results; 4) Impact evaluation; 5) Conclusions; 6) Bibliography.

  4. Another way to learn...: case studies

    Another way to learn is a UNESCO initiative that supports Non-Formal Education projects working around the world in Africa, South Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America. The long-term goal of these projects is to develop sustainable livelihoods for low-income, low-literate populations by addressing vulnerability to HIV and AIDS and drug misuse, a lack of education and social exclusion. Central to all of these projects are the creative and innovative methods used to communicate in a meaningful way, engage people and encourage their participation. …
