Reflecting on new challenges for the diversity of cultural expressions in Switzerland: May 20, 2016

As Switzerland prepares its second quadrennial periodic report on the implementation of the 2005 Convention, the Federal Office of Culture is organizing, in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair at the University of Fribourg, a thematic day of reflection on May 20, 2016 to discuss the new challenges of promoting the diversity of cultural expressions.

The morning will be devoted to the overall implementation of the 2005 Convention in Switzerland and around the world, while the afternoon will address four specific issues through roundtable discussions: the mobility of artists; challenges for the implementation of the Convention; issues of access and participation in culture and the media's role in the digital age.
