This paper synthesises the evidence on sexual and reproductive health situation of young people in India, sheds light on those sub-populations of young people who are most vulnerable to adverse sexual and reproductive outcomes, and assesses the barriers that compromise the sexual and reproductive health and rights of young people at the individual and family levels, as well as at the programme delivery level.
The primary objective of the 2015 AfDHS project is to provide up-to-date estimates of basic demographic and health indicators. This document describes recent patterns and trends in the HIV epidemic in eastern Europe. AIDS programme managers and epidemiologists of 23 countries were contacted and requested to provide national HIV surveillance data. Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS/World Health Organisation country fact sheets were reviewed and analysed, and this information was supplemented with published HIV prevalence and sexually transmitted disease case reporting information, unpublished travel reports and expert evaluations.
This study presents evidence linking the spread of HIV with gender inequality in law and in custom in Pacific Island countries and territories. The National Strategic Plan for a Comprehensive and Multisectoral Response to HIV/AIDS 2006-2010 (NSP II) was originally developed in 2005. This revised version of the NSP II covers the remaining three years (2008-2010) and concerns an update. The revised NSP II is part of the National Strategic Development Plan (NSDP) for 2006-2010, which in turn supports the Royal Government's Rectangular Strategy for the development of Cambodia. The NSDP gives highest priority to poverty reduction and progress towards reaching the Cambodia Millennium Development Goals (CMDG) targets by 2015. …
The study provides information on key reproductive and sexual health indicators in young women and men age 15-24 in 38 developing countries. The data come from Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) and AIDS Indicator Surveys (AIS) conducted between 2001 and 2005. Indicators are selected for the following key areas: background characteristics; adolescent pregnancy; contraception; sexual activity; and HIV/AIDS-related knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. Additional analysis examines the association of various individual and household characteristics with the key indicators.
This study (one of the few of its kind conducted in Laos) provides a wealth of information on the sexual behaviour of young men, which could guide future HIV prevention programs. While the survey only looks at the attitudes and activities of men living and working in Vientiane, it nonetheless illuminates both important similarities and differences in Lao male behaviour compared to men in other countries, including countries in the immediate region.

The report presents findings of the 2002 reproductive health baseline community survey carried out in townships under the UNFPA project. The main objectives of the survey is to find out knowledge, attitude and practice related to reproductive health, STD, HIV/AIDS, maternal health and contraception. The study will provide baseline information for evaluating the progress in the level of knowledge and behaviour change on the reproductive health in those township communities at the end of the project in 2005.
