It will take place in Lima, Peru, from 24 to 27 September 2018.
Ethics Teachers' Training Course are designed to support and promote education in quality (bio)ethics throughout the world by strengthening the teaching capacities in (bio)ethics of teachers.
The activity is aimed at training teachers who have recently begun teaching, or will soon commence their teaching careers at various institutions of higher education. The objective is to train teaching experts by providing methodological tools in bioethics education (deliberative method, problematizing methodology, case use, problem-based teaching, etc.).
The training will also focus on several topics to broaden the bioethics agenda and educational content, such as the human rights approach, environmental and social issues and the construction of a culture of peace.
Ethics Teacher Training Courses are conducted by a team composed of international and local experts with extensive experience in ethics and bioethics education.
This provides a unique opportunity for participants to dialogue with leading international bioethicists around key issues concerning bioethics education from the Human Rights approach promoted by UNESCO.
