Meeting of the Preparatory Group of the Executive Board

The Preparatory Group will meet on 19 June 2018 in Room XI at UNESCO Headquarters.

Following 204 EX/Decision 31, the Executive Board decided to invite the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the Preparatory Group to include UNESCO’s strategic transformation as an item on the provisional agenda of the Preparatory Group to ensure regular interactive consultations with the Secretariat until the 40th session of the General Conference, and decided to hold one special meeting of the Preparatory Group before 30 June 2018 dedicated to UNESCO’s strategic transformation.

The group should contribute to the efficient preparation of regular sessions of the Executive Board, as well as facilitate its decision-making. The group should be inclusive and cost-effective.
The Preparatory group of the Executive Board shall be open to all UNESCO Member States.
