NET-MED Youth: final wrap-up and celebration event

As the first phase of the NET-MED Youth Project is coming to its end on 31 December 2018, a final wrap-up and celebration is planned, consisting of a half-a-day youth-led creative event that will take place in Brussels (Belgium) on Tuesday 19 November.

The event aims at (i) highlighting the Project’s achievements, lessons learnt and good practices, (ii) advancing networking between youth organizations from the South and the North, and (iii) increasing the Project’s visibility among a wider audience that could potentially support future programming in this area. Thus, the event will constitute a great platform to exhibit all publications, resources, audiovisual material and all other outputs produced under the Project.

Launched in February 2014, the Networks of Mediterranean Youth Project (NET-MED Youth) is a regional flagship project implemented by UNESCO and funded by the European Union. It aims at creating an enabling environment for young women and men to develop their competencies, exercise their rights and meaningfully engage as active citizens, particularly.

Covering 9 Southern Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria and Tunisia), the Project focused on mainstreaming youth issues and priorities across national decision-making bodies, by building the capacities of youth and youth organizations to engage in decision-making processes, supporting youth’s freedom of expression and representation in media, and identifying workable models for improving youth access to employment.
