Bernard Boucher

Mr Boucher is an independent expert and associate professor at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and at Senghor University in Alexandria. This specialist in cultural policies and industries owns 35 years of experience in the elaboration of policies and in the conception and implementation of development strategies for the cultural sector, especially for the training of cultural stakeholders in charge of business management. Mr Boucher has held positions at the local, regional, national and international levels: in particular he was in charge of setting up the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC) (development of cultural businesses firm) of which he was the Managing director from 1995 to 2005, and since 1988 he has taken part in several IFO (International Organization of La Francophonie) projects, especially in Africa. He has had significant professional experience in several African countries (Burkina Faso, Togo, Ivory Coast, Senegal), as well as in Morocco and Tunisia, in the fields of cinema, music and business development.
