Shenzhen Global Design Award First Call for Entries, Until 25 March 2018

Within the 2nd Shenzhen Design Week, to be held from 20th to 30th April. The city of Shenzhen invites industrial and product designers to enter the inaugural Shenzhen Global Design Award (SDA).

The event, supported by the Organizing Committee of the Shenzhen Design Week aims to discover and reward the visionary ideas of international designers. Along with the prize of 200,000 USD for the most innovative products, the Award will offer the opportunity to exchange on the future of industrial design, to build new strategic partnerships with Chinese and international artists and to cooperate for the development of the concept of design thinking.

Shenzhen Design Week is the largest and highest level international professional design event in Shenzhen, covering the widest range of categories. It aims to establish an international platform integrating exchange, promotion, display and educational activities on design.

More than 200 designers from 18 countries participated in the last Shenzhen Design Week edition in April 2017. The event attracted more than 100,000 viewers and 45 design events held at 16 different locations all over the city, including exhibitions, forums, workshops, seminars, family events and so on.

The 2018 Shenzhen Design Week edition will also host the Special Exhibition of UCCN entitled the Possibilities of Design: UCCN Perspectives, which will be held on April 20th to April 30th at  the Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning in downtown area.
