Tajikistan: International Standards for Journalism Education

25 September 2018

From 27 to 28 September 2018 UNESCO Almaty organized the meeting in Dushanbe of journalism universities and the training centers of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The meeting devoted to the 28 September 2018 - International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI) - 2018. IDUAI has particular relevance for the new 2030 Development Agenda, and in particular with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) target 16.10 which calls for ensuring public access to information and protection of fundamental freedoms.

UNESCO Almaty translated resource material into Tajik - the UNESCO model curricula for journalism education.

UNESCO Almaty published the Awareness razing Survey on International Standards for Journalism Education to identify the workshop participants and their needs. The Survey was effective from April to July 2018 by following URL: https://secure.unesco.org/survey/?sid=34457.
