Coalition of Arab Cities against Racism, Discrimination, Xenophobia and Intolerance

The Coalition of Arab Cities against Racism, Discrimination, Xenophobia and Intolerance was initiated at an inaugural ceremony held in Casablanca (Morocco) on 25 June 2008. Since the launching of the coalition, 19 cities have joined the initiative.

The regional coalition has been established within the framework of the International Coalition of Inclusive and Sustainable Cities − ICCAR, launched by UNESCO in 2004. Its principal objective is to create a network of cities interested in sharing experiences in order to improve their policies to fight racism, discrimination, xenophobia and intolerance. Casablanca has taken on the role as the network’s “lead city”.
