MEDIA AND FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION
Raising the level of media and freedom of expressions to the international recognized level.
Ministry of Information (MOIn) will pursue 3 prioritized policies:
- Expanding the delivery of quality information, educational and entertaining programs to 85-95% population in the country.
- Encouraging use of press freedom and freedom of expression such that it is in line with the principles of a pluralistic democracy, the rule of law, and protection of human rights and dignity.
- Contributing to preserving and upholding the culture and tradition to enhance national identity and the prestige of the country in the international arena.
Notably, within Film Department there is a procedure for film-makers to obtain licence to shoot, and later licence to broadcast and project their movies.
Quality information, educational and entertaining programs are delivered to the people.
Press freedom and freedom of expression are widely respected.
Culture and tradition which enhance national identity and the prestige of the country in the international arena are preserved and promoted
Licence to shoot and to broadcast are easier to be obtained.
